Local SEO in Brisbane
and south east Queensland
Brisbane is a set of separate hubs spread along the river and the ridges, with the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast an hour either side. The pack reaches further here than it does in Sydney, which is an opening if your profile is in better shape than the next one.
Clusters we work in
Brisbane CBD and Spring Hill
Professional services and the weekday trade, with the tightest radius in the city.
Fortitude Valley, Newstead and Teneriffe
Hospitality, studios and clinics packed into a few blocks.
West End, South Brisbane and Woolloongabba
South Bank spillover and the precinct rebuilding around the Gabba.
Paddington, Milton and Toowong
Inner west strips where the search names the suburb every single time.
Chermside, Carindale and Indooroopilly
Centre-anchored suburbs where the pack draws from a wide radius.
Logan, Ipswich and Springfield
Growth corridors with a lot of new customers and very few maintained profiles.
Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast
Separate markets an hour away, often the same owner and the same brand.

How Brisbane actually searches
Greater Brisbane spreads across the river bends and the hills, and the suburb hubs sit far enough apart that Google casts a wider net to fill three results. In Fortitude Valley the radius is tight. Around Chermside, Carindale or Springfield it can pull in a business several kilometres away, so a well-run profile reaches further than the same profile would in Melbourne.
The city has absorbed years of interstate arrivals who have no established plumber, dentist or gym, which means the search is doing the choosing rather than a neighbour. Storm season does the same on a much shorter clock. One January hail line puts thousands of roofing and electrical searches into a single afternoon, and the businesses taking those calls are the ones already sitting in the pack when it starts.
What the Brisbane Map Pack rewards
The three map results here change more slowly than in Sydney and cover more ground. That cuts both ways. A neglected listing can sit in the pack for months on the strength of an old address and an old review count, and a corrected one can take the place and hold it through the next season.
Geo-grid tracking matters more in Brisbane precisely because the hubs are far apart. A single rank number for Brisbane tells you nothing about whether you appear in Chermside and Carindale, which is where a large share of the customers are. We grid the suburbs you actually serve and report the map rather than the number.
Service area or address
A north-side trade and a Newstead shopfront are two different profile setups, and the wrong one caps how far you reach.
Licence and credentials
QBCC and AHPRA numbers on the site and the profile, matching what the register says.
Reviews that name the suburb
A review mentioning Wynnum or Ashgrove reads as local proof to a customer and gives Google something to associate.
Where Brisbane looks you up
Google first, then the platforms a south east Queensland customer checks on the way to a decision.
Uber Eats, DoorDash and Menulog
Delivery discovery for every venue from the Valley to Burleigh, at a cost per order you do not control.
hipages, Airtasker and Oneflare
Where the storm-season searches end up when the pack does not answer them.
HotDoc and HealthEngine
Clinic bookings, with real availability rather than a phone number and a promise.
The Urban List and Broadsheet Brisbane
Local editorial that AI assistants quote back when somebody asks what is good in Brisbane.
Facebook suburb groups
Suburb and neighbourhood groups carry real referral weight here, and they ask the same questions your profile should answer.
ProductReview.com.au
Ranks on brand searches and gets read before anyone calls.
Who we do this for in Brisbane
Three of the four we work with most in Australia. Each industry page covers the platforms, the regulators and the searches that apply here.
Trades across south east Queensland
A Brisbane trade covering the north side and Redlands is one business with two very different sets of results, and the service area is what decides which calls arrive. QBCC licence numbers belong on the site and the profile. Emergency work needs hours, a category and a phone that actually answers at 6am after a storm, because that is when the demand lands.
Hospitality and venues
The Valley, Newstead and West End compete for the same night out, and the Gold Coast venues an hour south compete for the same weekend. A group running venues in both is running two local businesses, each with its own photos, hours and review flow. Events and functions are searched separately from dining, and most venues never build a page for them.
Clinics and allied health
Chermside, Carindale and Indooroopilly each hold clinics competing across a wide catchment, which makes reviews and booking availability count for more than the extra kilometre. AHPRA prohibits testimonials about clinical care in advertising, so the review programme asks about the experience, replies to everything, and never filters who is asked.
Four verticals, four different fights in Brisbane
A page each for the four the Australian practice sells, written for Brisbane rather than for Australia: the local competitive set, the searches that convert, the review platforms and what the Command Centre does for that vertical.
Hospitality groups in Brisbane
Venues split between the inner city and the coasts, each needing its own local presence.
Clinics and allied health in Brisbane
Wide-catchment clinics around the major centres, under AHPRA advertising rules.
Gyms and studios in Brisbane
Suburban gyms with a wide radius, where the timetable and the trial offer decide the enquiry.
Trades and home services in Brisbane
Storm-driven emergency demand and QBCC licensing across a spread-out metro.
