01What you’re missing

Your customers are asking AI who to pick. Is it picking you?

When someone asks ChatGPT or Google’s AI for a recommendation, it names two or three businesses. Everyone else doesn’t exist for that customer. There is no page two to scroll to.

Here are three popular spots nearby:

  1. The Corner Table
  2. Early Bird Café
  3. Saltwater Kitchen

02Why it’s different everywhere

Every app looks in a different place.

That’s why you can be at the top of Google Maps and not exist in ChatGPT. Each place needs its own work, and most businesses only ever do the first one.

  • Google Search, Maps and Google’s AI

Look at your Google profile, your reviews and your website.

  • ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot

Look mostly at Bing, Yelp, online directories and Reddit threads.

  • Siri and Apple Maps

Look at Apple’s own business listings, plus reviews from Yelp and Tripadvisor.

“Why am I on Maps but not in Search?”

They are two separate rankings. Maps mostly judges your Google profile. Search mostly judges your website.

“Why does Gemini know me but ChatGPT doesn’t?”

Gemini is Google, so it reads your Google profile. ChatGPT reads Bing and third-party sites. You can be strong on one side and invisible on the other.

“Why is the AI answer about us wrong?”

AI mixes whatever it finds: old listings, outdated pages, forum posts. When those disagree, it guesses. The fix is making every source say the same thing.

03Your website, through AI’s eyes

A website can look perfect and still be blank to AI.

Customers see the design. AI tools read what’s underneath, and many can’t read pages the way a browser does. Two sites that look the same to you can look completely different to them.

What a customer sees on both sites

Same photos, same layout, same menu. A customer could not tell them apart.

What AI sees Site A

Nothing to read

No name, no hours, no menu, no reviews

  • The page is built in a way AI tools can’t read
  • Opening hours are a picture, not text
  • A hosting setting blocks AI tools by default
  • New pages take weeks to be noticed

What AI sees Site B

Business
Harbour Coffee, café
Where
By the marina
Open
Every day, 7:00 to 22:00
Rating
4.8 from 612 reviews
  • Every detail is written out so AI can read it
  • Labelled so Google knows exactly what the business is
  • AI tools let in, and the page loads fast on a phone
  • New pages sent to Google and Bing as soon as they go live

Google and Bing each have a free tool (Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools) where a website is registered and new pages are sent in. Most businesses skip Bing. That matters, because Bing feeds ChatGPT and Copilot.

04What LocalEnhance does

We work every place they look.

A profile nobody updates goes stale while competitors keep posting, and AI answers change from month to month. We keep every place telling the same, current story about you.

Google profile

Every plan

Your Google Maps presence, managed for you

Your Google profile is the listing Google shows on Maps and beside search results. Google calls it a Google Business Profile.

8/10

of the top Google Maps ranking factors come from your Google profile

Whitespark Local Search Ranking Factors 2026 (Nov 2025)
  • 8 posts a month with your photos, offers and events
  • Review replies within 24 hours, under settings we agree with you, and a draft for your approval on every 1 and 2-star review
  • Profile kept correct: categories, hours, services
  • Local SEO, so you rank for searches near you

Why it works so well: Maps is where the call and the direction request happen. A profile that changes every week looks like a business that is open and busy.
