LocalEnhance alternatives,
and how we compare
If you are looking at LocalEnhance you are probably weighing it against something else. This page is written by us, so read it knowing that. It sets out the four real alternatives, when each of them is the better choice, and the kinds of business we are a poor fit for.
We name no competitor here. Their prices and features change, and we would get them wrong. Our own figures on this page come from our pricing page.

Four other ways to get found locally
1. Do it yourself
You claim your Google Business Profile, fill in every field, post each week, ask customers for reviews and answer them. Google charges nothing for any of it.
Choose this when: You have one location, a few hours a week, and someone on the team who will keep doing it after the first month.
Where it runs out: It stops when that person gets busy. You also have no easy way to see where you rank a few streets away, or what AI assistants say about you.
2. Listings and review software
A subscription tool that pushes your details to directories, collects reviews in one inbox and reports on rankings. You, or someone you employ, operate it.
Choose this when: You already have a marketing person who needs better tools, or you run many locations and mainly need the details kept consistent.
Where it runs out: Software shows you what is wrong and leaves the fixing to you. Posts, replies, photos and pages still need a person.
3. A freelancer
One person who manages your profile and perhaps your website for a monthly fee.
Choose this when: You want a single contact, your needs are simple, and you have found someone with local search results they can show you.
Where it runs out: One person covers one set of skills and has no cover when they are ill or busy. Ask how they measure rank and what happens to your logins if you part ways.
4. A full-service marketing agency
An agency that handles brand, creative, social media, advertising and SEO together.
Choose this when: You need campaigns, creative work and media buying as well as search, and want one company answerable for all of it.
Where it runs out: Local search is usually one small line in a larger retainer. Ask who actually manages the Google profile and how often it is touched.
If you choose to do it yourself, start with the free audit as your checklist, then read how Google Maps ranking works and the glossary.

Five questions to ask before you sign with anyone
They apply to us as much as to anyone else on your list.
- Who owns the website if we stop working together?
- How do you measure where I rank: one number, or a grid across my area?
- Can I check your report against my own Google account?
- What do you do with a one-star review, and do I see the reply before it is sent?
- Which named clients can I look up, and what did you measure for them?
Our answers: you do. A grid, every month. Yes. A drafted reply that waits for your approval, never a takedown request for a genuine review. Five named clients on the results page.
