How customers in the Philippines find a local business
Most local searches here happen on a phone, inside Google or Google Maps, and they end without a visit to a website. Someone types a cuisine, a service or a brand, adds a place such as BGC, Cebu IT Park or Tagaytay, and picks from the three businesses Google shows above the map. If you are not one of the three, the search usually ends with someone else.
Many Philippine businesses run on a Facebook page and have never claimed their Google Business Profile, or claimed it years ago and left it.
