Your website

AI tools don’t see your website. They read it.

Customers see the design. ChatGPT, Google’s AI and search engines read what’s underneath: the words, the labels, and whether they are let in at all. Two sites that look the same to you can look completely different to them.

Illustrative example

What a customer sees

Harbour Coffee

Specialty coffee and brunch by the marina. Open every day, 7:00 to 22:00.

What an AI crawler gets

<body>
  <div id="app"></div>
  <script src="/bundle.js"></script>
</body>

No name, no hours, no menu. The page only fills in once the code runs, and the crawler never runs it.

An illustrative café website: customers see the name and opening hours, while an AI crawler gets an empty page that only fills in when code runs.

What decides it

Four things decide whether AI can read your site.

  1. 01

Every detail written out as text

Opening hours in a picture, or a menu in a PDF, can’t be read. Neither can a page that only appears once code runs in the browser. A study of AI crawler traffic found that none of the major ones run JavaScript.

  2. 02

Labelled so Google knows what the business is

Hidden labels in the page tell Google and AI tools, in a format they agree on, that this is a café, where it is, when it opens and how it is rated. Without them, they have to guess from the words.

  3. 03

AI tools let in, and fast on a phone

A hosting or security setting can turn AI crawlers away without anyone on your side noticing. Since July 2025, Cloudflare blocks them by default on new sites. A page that is slow on a phone loses the customer before it loads.

  4. 04

New pages sent to Google and Bing

Google and Bing each have a free tool (Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools) where a site is registered and new pages are sent in. Otherwise a new page can take weeks to be noticed. Most businesses skip Bing, and Bing feeds ChatGPT and Copilot.

What we do Growth and Authority

A website AI can read, yours to keep.

A premium website built so Google, Bing and AI tools can read every page, plus an on-page check of your site. It stays yours if you leave. On Authority it is a site you can edit yourself.

  • Built to be read

Every page arrives as finished text, with the labels Google and AI tools look for, so nothing depends on code running first.

  • The right crawlers let in

We check that search engines and the AI tools you want can reach every page, and that the site loads fast on a phone.

  • Sent to Google and Bing

New pages go to Google and Bing as soon as they go live, so they can show up in search and AI answers.

  • Articles on it every month

Written about what people in your area actually ask: 2 articles a month on Growth, 4 on Authority.

What you see each month

How your website shows up, on Google and on Bing.

Your monthly report, ready by the 8th, covers both, next to your Google profile numbers and how you compare with competitors.

Google
Searches you show up for, clicks, and how often Google’s AI summaries show you
Bing
How you show up on Bing, and how often its AI cites your pages

Your website is one of the places customers and AI tools look. Your Google profile and your reviews are the others, and each app weighs them differently.
